Gladestry Church in Wales Primary School

This is a flourishing small school which currently has 50+ pupils from the village and surrounding areas. The school aims to provide a secure & stimulating environment in which children are valued as individuals and where they are encouraged to achieve their full potential in all spheres.

The school has a happy, vibrant atmosphere and fosters strong links with families, the church & the local community.

Gladestry Church in Wales Primary School received an exceptional Estyn inspection report in 2015, with inspectors stating that “pupils demonstrate very high levels of engagement in all aspects of school life”, “the school has a strong ethos of continuous improvement that has resulted in consistently high standards over a number of years” and “the quality of teaching is consistently high”.

Estyn Report: we are very proud that our school has been recognised for “sustained excellence in their teaching”. The recent Estyn publication ‘Improving Teaching’  includes a case study of Gladestry C-in-W School. We have a copy in school but it is also available on-line at https://www.estyn.gov.wales/sites/default/files/documents/Improving%20teaching.pdf
